For our December and Christmas episode, we speak to Chris Hancock who is the head of Best Practice at the housing charity Crisis.
We talked about a number of things:
- The ‘everyone in’ initiative and how it could have been so much better
- The structural changes that need to take place to eliminate homelessness (which Chris maintains, is possible)
- How landlords can help, and
- Why Crisis is not just for Christmas
Crisis is keen to work with landlords and so if you would like to work with them here are the links which Chris mentions in the podcast:
- Their service for landlords – this is mostly London focused so
- Find centres local to you here
- A list of local organisations who specialise in supporting landlords and tenants to make the PRS a good route out of homelessness,
- The Homes for Cathy organisation mentioned by Ben, and finally
- Donate to the Christmas appeal here
Here’s hoping that in 2021 Crisis and their partners will be able to make homelessness a thing of the past.
